Life in the 21st century is fast-paced, ever changing and evolving, and often times unpredictable. Whether it’s a worldwide pandemic, a sudden job loss, problems with your child, or the death of a friend or family member, you may find yourself facing an unexpected challenge. This can leave you feeling overwhelmed, uncertain what to do, and in some cases anxious or depressed.  

Dr. Wise can help with these challenges. He understands that often it’s not the event itself but our attitude, outlook, and ability to manage change that determines how you feel and how you respond to a crisis.   • Career Changes & Challenges: Whether it’s a career change, advancement, or setback, Dr. Wise can help coach you through it. He has extensive experience assisting professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs to navigate many types of occupational changes and challenges. These include dealing with personality differences in the C-Suite, managing personnel, and handling corporate politics and difficult relationships with colleagues.

  • Dating & Relationships: Perhaps you find yourself single again and are trying to figure out how to successfully date in the age of dating Apps. You may be going through a break-up or ending a marriage. Maybe you are in a good relationship but just want help developing better communication and intimacy with your partner. Dr. Wise can assist you with learning and practicing healthy intimacy. He has taught many people how to develop and master the self-understanding and skills required for a healthy relationship.

  • Parenting issues: Parenting and raising children is one of the most rewarding, but sometimes challenging, accomplishments of a lifetime.  Your children may experience learning problems, mental illness, substance abuse, bullying, legal difficulties, or “failure to launch”  or difficulties successfully navigating the transition to young adulthood.  Dr. Wise can serve as a resource and guide during these difficult times. As a child and adolescent psychologist, he understands the problems children and adolescents face and how to help them and their parents.

  • Relocation or family move: Believe it or not, moving and relocating can be one the greatest stressors people will ever face. In North Texas, many individuals relocate themselves and their families from other parts of the country to join one of the major companies in the area. This means starting a new job role while simultaneously establishing yourself and your family in a new home, schools, and community.

  • Retirement: As the lifespan grows, clients often find themselves retiring from a long career but still feeling vital, healthy and motivated. Dr. Wise has helped many people successfully make the transition to retirement and find ways to discover new goals, purpose, avocations, or ventures.
