During COVID-19 and Beyond….

Prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Wise has adopted and utilized video telehealth technology.  He offers telehealth therapy (“teletherapy”) and consultation via a convenient, secure video platform.  Telehealth is safe, encrypted and fully HIPAA compliant. Research has found teletherapy to be as effective as face-to-face therapy for many conditions.  Teletherapy is a beneficial and preferred treatment option for many patients.  

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many insurance companies have agreed to reimburse providers and clients for services received via telehealth at the same rates as those received in person.  

Telehealth has many benefits.  

Benefits of Teletherapy include:

  • You may access psychological services using your laptop, smartphone or tablet and participate in therapy from your home, car, office, or wherever life takes you.  

  • Telehealth saves travel time to and from the office.

  • There is enhanced privacy as you will not have to come to the office.

  • Homebound clients and those with limited mobility can easily access services.

  • Clients in remote locations with limited providers may secure treatment.

  • Professionals may receive services during their lunch hour without disrupting their day.
